I don't know - I don't find this one to be all that odious. And frankly, I think he's right, aside from a pluralization problem. It's one thing to make goofball typos, another to make the kind that spellcheckers will miss because they still form words - even though yes, it's very lazy to spellcheck and not actually READ what you're posting...
